CLUB HIPPO was started to insure Heartland could take care of the therapy horses that are used in hippotherapy at the ranch. When a horse has been injured or used improperly, sometimes these horses are  brought to Heartland to be evaluated as to whether they can be trained to be therapy horses. In this way Heartland is not only benefiting the children with Developmental Disabilities, but also rescuing these horses that would have otherwise been put down. The horses are trained and eventually become four-legged therapists to help the children.

It costs $250-$350 per month for the upkeep of our four-legged therapists, including feed and vet bills. For $50-$250 per month you can adopt a therapy horse.  We have a variety of adoption packages

• Club Hippo Platinum-$250+/month for 1 year
  • Includes:  use of trails, fishing pond, arena (when available), access to adopted horse, and use of property for private events-such as bonfires, hay rides, birthday parties, etc.
  • Members also recieve a plaque on the horses stall and a piece of heartland
• Club Hippo Gold-$100-$249/month for 1 year
  • Includes:  use of trails, fishing pond, arena (when available), access to adopted horse
  • Members also recieve a plaque on the horses stall and a piece of heartland
• Club Hippo Silver-$50-$99/month for 1year
  • Members also recieve a plaque on the horses stall and a piece of heartland
  • access to adopted horse
• Club Hippo Bronze-One time donation over $100
  • Members recieve a piece of heartland

 A member of Club Hippo can come to Heartland Ranch and choose the horse they want to adopt.

Please be aware that reservations must be made in advance for time spent with the horse.   Heartland Ranch and Arena is an exclusive property and can not be accessed without prior permission because of the valuable work with children and youth going on.
