A goal of Heartland Ranch and Arena, Inc. is to build a Respite Care Lodge to help those families in distress needing a respite from the 24/7 care of a developmentally disabled child. 

80% of these families end in divorce with the single care giver spiraling into poverty and dependence on government help.

The Respite Care Lodge, which is a goal of Heartland's, will be built as soon as funds are located for this facility.

Respite Care is the number one need of families in the region with a child with developmental disabilities.

One goal of the Respite Care Lodge is the incorporation of SNOEZELEN Therapy by way of building a Snoezelen Room into the Respite Care Lodge.
